Charley Rossman’s (Harold) New Film Premieres Tonight

Darkening Sky's Charley Rossman plays Allen Ginsberg

Darkening Sky's Charley Rossman plays Allen Ginsberg

Charley Rossman is playing Allen Ginsberg (Beat Poet) in the film, The Buffalo Son, premiering tonight at Laemelle Sunset 5 in Hollywood.

The Buffalo Son chronicles the adventures of Peter Apple, a teenage boy who awakes in the middle of an Arizona desert road with complete head trauma-induced amnesia regarding his past. Unable to remember any of his history, completely undocumented in databases, lacking a social security number and having no known family, the sweet, naive Peter gains relative national fame for his story and spontaneous poetry — but is eventually adopted as a prophet and “flawless judge of this World” by the strange beat poets and art fiends in his foster family’s neighborhood. Peter slowly morphs into a cocky, careless, rockstar-like hero while becoming a target of jealousy and hatred at his high school, subtly falling for one of his “follower’s” daughters, pit-falling into a world of murder and corruption and facing what could either be an onslaught of mystical happenings or a series of peculiar coincidences — constantly challenging Peter to question the roles he has been assigned. As his memory begins to return, insights change and characters morph in this colorful, funny and eerie take on the American dream.

So, two days after her 18th birthday, Danica moved to Los Angeles and very soon began working in film and television.

A starring role in the Aaron Spelling pilot Home of the Brave, helped launch Danica’s busy career. In addition, Danica has starred in several webisodes including Cyberpunx, Socially Awkward Guy and NBC’s first daytime hit web series Coastal Dreams. Currently in production, Camera Café is Danica’s latest web series.

Danica also has an impressive list of television credits including: Crossing Jordan, Thick and Thin, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Drake and Josh, Skin, CSI: Miami, and Oliver Beene. A recurring role in Quintuplets rounded out Danica’s guest starring television roles.

Film credits include Self Medicated, Last Run and Bottoms Up.

In her free time, Danica enjoys dancing, skating, biking, swimming, running and golf. During her time off from her busy work schedule, Danica returns to Washington for visits with her parents and older brother.

Casting Con’t

We had another good casting session today. All the actors we’ve met to date have been great. After all the meetings and auditions the past few weeks, we think we’ve  found one (if not both!) of  our leads!

We’ve also secured one of our key locations.

All in all, a very productive day.
